A 'no' is never a 'yes'. You can’t say ‘yes, if’ -  that’s a 'no'. No means no, and yes means no, when it’s not just yes.

...which is pretty much how that class explanation went, except it took about twenty minutes and you could actually seen panic in peoples eyes when she was finished talking. It was highly amusing.
